Dr. Adil Najam is a global public policy scholar whose teaching, research and public engagement focuses on international environment and conservation policy with a particular emphasis on climate change, on global governance, and on international and human development. An active researcher, he was a lead author for the Third and Fourth Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and has written over 100 scholarly papers and book chapters.
In 2014 he was named the inaugural dean of Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, a position he stepped down from in 2022 when he was appointed Dean Emeritus. He is also a Professor of International Relations and of Earth and Environment at Boston University. Earlier he served as the Vice Chancellor of Pakistan’s Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS); and prior to that as a professor of negotiation and diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Adil Najam holds a PhD (in environmental policy) and two master’s degrees (in technology policy and in environmental engineering) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Specialization in Negotiation from the Program on Negotiation at the Harvard Law School, and a bachelor’s of engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Pakistan.
Adil was a board member of WWF International from 2012-2019 and also served as Chair of the Luc Hoffmann Institute (2017-2020).

Ahmad Alhendawi is the Secretary General, CEO of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), the world’s leading education youth movement supporting over 54 million members in 171 National Scout Organizations. Prior to his appointment and following a career in public policy and development at the League of Arab States, Save the Children, UNFPA, Alhendawi served as the first-ever United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth. A Jordanian national, he studied and worked in Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, France, Germany, Malaysia and the United States.

Roseline C. Beudels is a conservation biologist by training and with some 38 years of experience has devoted her life to nature and wildlife. For the past 12 years she has been Co-Leader and then Head of the Conservation Biology Unit of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS).
Roseline has a vast field experience in conservation both living and working in The Congo Basin, Rwanda, Indonesia and being involved in conservation initiatives and projects developed and run by WWF International, FAO, UNDP, to mention just a few.

Elaine J Cheung has more than 25 years of corporate experience in Asia.  She is a purpose-driven CFO and Board Director, helping companies fulfil their commitments to environmental and social sustainability through profitable strategies. She started her career as a CPA and worked in industries as diverse as healthcare, consumer goods, apparel & footwear, supply chain and aquaculture.  Currently she is an Operating Partner at Temasek with a mandate to build and operate a company to accelerate the adoption of sustainable food in Asia.   Elaine serves on the Audit Committee of the UN World Food Programme, 2020 Nobel Peace Laureate.   Her past board experiences include INED and AC Chair for a Hong Kong listed furniture & lifestyle company, Asian Development Bank Nominated Director at Mountain Hazelnut Group in Bhutan, Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and NED for Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Corporation.  She is a curator and connector of people and ideas.  Her infectious enthusiasm make her a natural mentor and leader of high-performing teams.  She is a Hong Kong born Chinese American and currently based in Singapore.

Jack Clemons is a highly international Non-Executive Director and business leader with large-scale leadership and mentoring experience. Jack has global CEO experience in building businesses internationally, with particular emphasis on digital and supply chains. As a former Audit Partner and global CFO has developed key insights into managing risk and finance in international organisations. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee member at DKSH and Banque Cantonale Vaudoise. Jack has lived and worked in UK, Singapore, France and US; based in Switzerland since 2000, with dual Swiss/UK nationality.

He expanded on the company's proud legacy of corporate responsibility by embedding sustainability throughout every facet of the organization and helping ensure its role as a community-connected, twenty-first century enterprise. These efforts resulted in The Coca-Cola Company's return to Fortune's "World's Most Admired Companies" list in 2006. Isdell serves on the boards of a number of NGOs, including WWF-US (as chairman), WWF-International, and CSIS.

Paula Kahumbu is currently the CEO of WildlifeDirect and brainchild of the Hands Off Our Elephants campaign with Her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta, the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya. Regarded as one of Africa’s best-known wildlife conservationists, Paula received a special commendation at the United Nations Person of the Year celebrations for her critical role in creating awareness and mobilizing action around the crisis facing elephants in Kenya.

Yolanda Kakabadse is presently the co-Chair of WWF-US and trustee of WWF International. She was previously the President of WWF International from 2010 to 2017. 

Yolanda Kakabadse’s work with the environmental conservation movement officially began in 1979, when she was appointed Executive Director of Fundación Natura in Quito, where she worked until 1990.

Paul Mackay joined the Board of WWF Germany in January 2020.

After finishing his economics studies at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and INSEAD in Fontainebleau he joined the investment banking activities of ABNAMRO. However, after some years he decided to give his life a new direction by founding and leading the Triodos Bank. A bank focussed on transparency and sustainability.

From 1996 to 2018 he joined the Executive Board at the Goetheanum, a School for Spiritual Science based on the works of Rudolf Steiner. The school is focussed on action research for instance in the fields of agriculture, education, health care, the arts and the social realm.

From 2011 to 2021 he was President of the Board of Directors of Weleda, a company focussed on pharmacy and natural cosmetics.

Ziya Tong is a communications and media expert and an award-winning author and broadcaster, best known for her work with Discovery’s flagship science show, Daily Planet, and NOVA ScienceNow on PBS. She was previously a member of the Board of WWF-Canada for some eight years, finishing her term as Vice-Chair. Ziya joined the WWF International Board in January 2020.
